Tips for measuring proper Long putter shaft length:
The Long Putter can be anchored in a variety of methods. It can be anchored at the breastbone under his chin, firmly anchored against the upper breastbone, while some golfers even anchor their top hand against their chin. We recommend that the you see what feels most comfortable to you possibly using a broomstick or something to approximate a long shaft to get a feel of which hand positions that are most comfortable. Once the position of the top of the putter has been determined then assume a comfortable address position and then have another person measure the distance from the top of the top hand (left hand for right handed golfers) to the floor. Or mark the broom where you hand is comfortable and take your measurement. The USGA rules state under Appendix II 1. Clubs, that the minimum legal putter lie is 10(80)*. And that the putter cannot be held at address at less than that same lie. So using 11(79)* as our most upright lie stays within the rules and gives you a 1* forgiveness in your stance at ball address. Whatever your reason now you can take your long putter with you wherever you go on your golf travels with our 2PC shaft option for your Holloway's Golf Long putter! We cut the shaft right above the long grip and install our threaded inserts to allow the putter shaft to break down into 2 pieces. Grooves on the internal part of the inserts gives epoxy an extra firm bite inside the shafts. The putter end receives the female insert so the threads are protected in the bottom of your golf bag. The handle receives the male insert and will easily fit in your shoe compartment in your golf bag. The inserts are made from 304 grade stainless steel for durability and will not rust. 3/8-24 fine threads provide a firm rigid lock when the shafts are screwed together.
